The Voice

Before I really get started, let me just say I don't intended to be cruel or mean, just an honest dislike.
I like going to the Dolphin 2, it is full of a lot of very attractive women, and the atmosphere is pretty casual. I like sitting and talking with Natalia or Sophia best, but sometimes I play the video poker machines too. All making for a nice way to pass the time away. I get dances usually when I'm ready, but sometimes I do this as an escape.
You see the Dolphin 2 has this waitress that has the most annoying voice to my ear. She screeches out the questions of her job, in a voice that sounds like the cross between a cat and a seagull mating or being strangled, not sure which. As if the sound wasn't bad enough, she seems to have no volume control. She is stuck on shout until you ears bleed. if the club was loud all the time I could see a reason for it, but nope, no help from music blaring so loud you can't hear yourself think here...sigh. I find myself cringing when ever she asks a question, and praying she gets the order right the first time, so she will be off. problem is she seems to be a really nice person, not to bright, but a nice enough person. My order is always late arriving when she takes my order, but I see that as a blessing in it's way. The couch area is my great escape, but maybe that is the whole idea. Maybe this Voice is a secret weapon of the club's. All I know is nothing makes the waiting for dances seem so long a thing, as this lady and her voice. OK I'm done with my rant. Just had to get that out. I am pretty sure the fact I have not mentioned her name at any time will not hide the id of this waitress. I'm sorry if I have offended, but as the kids say. She started it. lol

  1. Yeah she's really sweet but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. It's actually a speech disorder. Some people for some reason don't learn to use their optimum pitch and therefore develop voices that are too shrill. I'm surprised that no one in her life ever took her to see a speech pathologist. :)

  2. She does seem like a real go-getter, and a nice person, but I just had to vent. As you know, I'm not one to really pick on someone, but that voice is just soooo there. I hope she never is hurt by someone who has less tact. :)
