The Pretty woman who turns heads

Today I am writing about a friend of mine. She is a very attractive woman, in her early 30's, approximately 5'5 with a curvy, slim athletic body. At times she drives her self to total exhaustion. For you see she has a hectic work schedule, of Stripping, cutting hair, PT-selling of make-up, and her most important job of all. She is a MOM. As if her work schedule wasn't bad enough, she also has kind of an active play schedule as well. She plays poker, goes to concerts, shopping, drinks with the girls, and now entertaining her special someone, and love of her life. During all of her work and play activities, she has always been one to turn heads.

You see my friend has a certain standard on how she believes a woman should look when out and about. A clear example of this to me was at the Mall. While going to the local mall to meet my friend and her daughter for a casual get together. I was struck by how easy it was to find her that day. You see she really stands out in a crowd. There is a class to her I compare to Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, after her shopping spree. Except where that was Movie glitz, and over priced clothes, my friend just has that certain natural grace about her. I noticed many a head turned to look at the "lady-of-the-mall" men and woman alike. Okay, a little effort was put into looking good, but it wasn't done in away to seem overly attractive, after all she was just taking her daughter to the mall to play. It is just the standard my friend has set for herself. Having good posture, and nice clothes can only get you so far. My friend has that something extra, and it is called presence. My friend also likes being the center of attention, so if you combine all of these things, of course your going to have a very nice package when all is said and done.

It is funny, or amusing to me that with all her head turning ability, she is still very insecure at times, at how she is perceived. Like she isn't good enough, she is over weight, not as pretty as she once was. I've found that no matter how beautiful a lady is, there is always doubt in her mind that anyone really likes her. It is all in her head I think. Heck! I've seen this lady with out make-up, and in pictures just in sweats and smiles, but she's still a beauty to behold. True I might be biased, because I have the unique ability to see the beauty within a person, as well as without. My friend will always be a head turner, it is in her nature. So I thank her Mom for keeping this wild person on the semi straight and narrow, and letting her bloom into the beauty she is today.

I feel fortunate to be friends with two such beautiful woman. My other friend has gone the other way when out in the public eye. She tries to hide her "Pretty Woman" side, trying more to blend in as just one of the masses. Not sure how successful she has been, but I know her reasons, and respect them. Kind of why I applaud the woman, this blog has been about. Simply put, because she has chosen the center ring if you will, inviting your words of compliment and critique alike. To put it in her words. "If they don't like me, or what I'm about "FUCK EM!" She is a lady, but if you ask for it, be prepared for the bitch, and if your honest both will turn your head.

As always feel free to comment on this or any other blog. :-D

  1. It's funny how this person and I are so different yet we have certain things in common like our job, being moms, and our insecurities. You're completely right in that she is STRIKING. She was the first person to really catch my eye when I was in my 1st year of dancing. When I first saw her perform I said to myself, "I want to dance as well as her and command the stage and everyone's attention as well as her". She's truly an inspiration and I love her!

I want to write a blog about the two of you, but not sure what I can and can't mention. Hope you two can help me out a little. I thank you for commenting.:-D
